Tenuta di Monaciano is a traditional Italian estate located in the rolling hills of Tuscany.

The estate features four country houses (Monacianello, Poggio, Cellolino and Piturnella), a historic 18th-century villa, vineyards, and olive groves that produce wine and olive oil.

We will be hosting all wedding events on the estate grounds - spanning 235 hectares of land in the Chianti Classico region, with two pools and multiple gardens, there will be much to explore and experience!

The estate

Tenuta di Monaciano is located near three major cities:

  • 10 minute drive from Siena

  • 1 hour drive from Florence

  • 1.5 hour drive from Pisa

 If you are coming from Florence, there are four ways to get to the estate:

  • Recommended option: Rent a car and drive 1 hour to the venue.

    • Renting a car is highly recommended as it will give you flexibility to leave the estate and explore surrounding areas.

    • When driving, please look out for ZTL zone signage (Zona a Traffico Limitato). These are restricted driving areas in Italian towns (typically the larger ones). Entering without permission triggers automatic fines of ~ €80-€300 often sent weeks later.

  • Carpool with someone. If you don’t want to drive but know someone who is renting a car and is arriving at the same time as you, coordinate a carpool.

  • Take a taxi from Florence airport to the venue. Please be aware this will take 1 hr and will cost around €250-300.

  • Take a high speed train from Florence to Siena

    • Once you land at Florence airport, take a taxi (€25) or the T2 subway (€2) line to Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station. 

    • Take the 1 hour train to Siena, this will cost around €20.

    • Take a taxi from Siena to the venue, this should cost around €15.

How to get there

All guests will be staying on-site in one of the four country houses or in the main villa. Each building is divided into apartment-style suites. The farmhouses range from a 15 - 45 minute walk from the main villa. There will be transportation to and from the events for all locations. Check in is at 4PM on Friday, September 4th.

Once we have received RSVPs, we will coordinate room assignments and payment. Please note that accommodations on-site are a fixed three night stay. Please let us know directly if you have a preference to stay off-site.
